High School Programs

As high school students begin to position themselves for their future, there are many unanswered questions about what lies ahead. Junior Achievement's high school programs help students make informed, intelligent decisions about their future, and fosters skills that will be highly useful in the business world.

With a range of different programs, Junior Achievement teaches about concepts relating to entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness. The volunteers bring real-life business experience and guidance into the classroom at a time that represents an essential crossroads for young people.

JA Business Ethics
Foster students' ethical decision-making as they prepare to enter the workforce and take part in the global marketplace.

JA Careers with a Purpose
Iintroduces students to the importance of seeking careers that help them realize their potential and noble purpose.

JA Economics
Examines the fundamental concepts of micro-, macro-, and international economics.

JA Success Skills
Helps students develop work-readiness skills necessary for the workplace and life

JA Titan
Introduces critical economics and management decisions through an interactive web-based simulation.

JA Presents: NEFE High School Financial Planning Program
Helps students make informed decisions about the effective use of income to reach personal financial goals.  

JA Banks in Action
Welcome to the exciting world of money and finance! Everyone is interested in money, and bankers deal with more of it than anyone. You and your classmates now operate a bank and are responsible for managing all the money in it.

JA Exploring Economics
JA Exploring Economics teaches concepts such as supply and demand and inflation, and teaches students about the effect which governments and the individual have on the global economy and on the price of a loaf of bread.

JA Be Entrepreneurial
JA Be Entrepreneurial, a new high school program, focuses on challenging students, through interactive classroom activities, to start their own entrepreneurial venture while still in high school.

Capstone Experiences:

JA Company Program
This is an in-school or after-school curriculum that focuses on analyzing and exploring personal opportunities and responsibilities within a student-led company.

JA Job Shadow
Introduces students to careers through one-day, on-site orientations in the workplace. We work with each school's career shadow representative to match students with companies.

Volunteer notes:
  • Share 45 minutes a Week for 7 Weeks
  • Motivate 9-12th Grade Students
  • Materials for High School Programs Provided free at Training
  • Prefer Professional-Level or Volunteer with College Degree
  • Training for Company Program is one full day, JA Economics is 1/2 day, for JA Success Skills, JA Titan and JA Personal Finance-2 Hours.
